Synopsis
A thrilling film about people who, with almost archaic power, use their feet to express themselves artistically. Starting with the "Bödälä," a dance from central Switzerland where the feet pound out the beat, the film embarks on a journey that leads to tap dancing, flamenco, and Irish dancing. The rhythmic beating of the shoes recalls the original folk and ritual dances. "Folk dances" are transformed into performance and competition dances. The film features encounters with passionate dancers who all use their feet to express joy, pleasure, and sadness.
