James Dean is an independent filmmaker and founder of Monster Kid Productions, a boundary-pushing production and distribution company dedicated to creating high-quality original content that pays tribute to the golden age of genre filmmaking. Raised on a steady diet of exploitation and 80s cult classics, James developed a deep love for practical effects, creative storytelling, and the gritty charm that defined the films of that era.
His work, spanning titles such as Fountaine and the Vengeful Nun Who Wouldn’t Die, XXX-Mas, Maniac Nun On A Mission To Kill Leo Fountaine, Absolution, & the giallo film My Blade is Your Salvation showcases his passion for blending nostalgic genre sensibilities with bold narratives.
